juz had my 1st paper ytd, the popular culture in contemporary japan. the title sure sounds chim huh? it's the anime module i was toking abt earlier on.. the whole exam was based on anime too! discussed several topics like japanese values, how they place group above self, homosexuality from history, persistence and zen.. all using anime examples! haha.. actualli i dun haf much examples, cuz dun realli keep a lookout for such things when i watch anime de lo... so... juz anyhow throw in the few animes i remember watching, and forcefully linked up the examples and my points. which is how i normally write anyway. haha. aiya, as long as u link them up, who cares how u link them. so long as u can convince the marker/trick the marker into being convinced/make him so confused dat he juz accept dat u know wad u r writing abt, it's ok! haha...


den the prof showed us an episode of an old anime, abt spaceships, nasty govt and pirates r the good guys. quite the typical show of govt being corrupted, den a few brave ppl wanna stand up for the ppl... in the end labelled as pirate but still well-liked by the commoners.. the ministers r always fat and ugly and stupid, with thick cigars in their mouths plus thick necks. why do i notice such things? haha..


quite cool actualli, to watch anime during ur final exams.. but after watching, i went 'huh?' and wondered wad was i supposed to analyze??!!? so... again i forcefully explained dat it was the voice of the common jap ppl, who felt oppressed by the govt and needed an outlet for expressing their unhappiness.. blah blah.. dunno correct anot, but i tot it sounded pretty logical.. i'm sure others wrote wad i wrote too.. cuz otherwise wad else can u write? haha..


after the paper.. i went to watch harry potter n the goblet of fire!! 1st thing i realised was dat ron and harry are no longer cute and boyish like how i liked them to be.. =( onli hermione was still pretty.. den the dumbledore was a disappointment.. the girl dat harry had a crush on, Cho chang(?) wasnt as pretty as i had expected her to be.. a bit baby fat.. hair not as black shiny sleek as described in the book! >_< and the 2 foreign schools.. forgot their names.. were ok la.. but the girls looked like some girl scouts.. and victor krim! totally not wad i had imagined him to be... had tot he would be tall, dark, slender maybe, long face and unsmiling.. well, he was tall and unsmiling.. but his face was veri veri round! in fact he reminds me of some mafia/gangster instead of the best seeker in the world.. sian. hopes were dashed. sigh.. had wanted to see more flying on brooms actions, but not much.. the dragons oso appeared onli for a while.. had wanted to see the chinese dragon! oh, and alastor moody was weird... ok so he's meant to be weird. but he was the uncle-y and psychotic-ly weird, not the mysterious and sinister weird. u know wad i mean?? funnily, the weasley twins turned out to be most entertaining.. and they looked the cutest too. the long hair suited them, but not ron! even gin (the sister is called gin rite..?) looked uglier. sigh.. wad happened to all the cute and pretty children? but as usual, the effects were pretty. so it was still veri enjoyable =)


i seemed to notice all the small things.. haha sorri la.. hope i havent spoilt the movie for those who havent watched! =p anyway everybody knows the plot ma. so it doesnt matter ba i guess. heehee.. ok! now i shall take a short short short nap and den start reading abt gene therapy. >_<
